Worm
 

I just started reading Worm, a story in the form of a web serial that (I think) just recently wrapped up with a word count of about 1.75 million (making it longer than the first 4-5 Wheel of Time books combined).

It's a lot better than I was expecting. Sort of a darker-than-usual look at how the world might cope with super-human abilities popping up.
